10th International Colloquium „Tool and Die Making for the Future”, September 28 and 29, 2010 in Aachen
In 2010, the two-day colloquium will take place in Aachen again. Internationally renowned experts are going to provide answers to the questions that occupy the tool and die making industry, and help master the challenges ahead.

Tour of the Facilities
On the first day, participants will have the chance to visit the testing facilities at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT. Both institutes are going to present a wide range of equipment and test beds related to the research work currently being carried out in the field of tool and die making. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their issues related to topics such as organizational models, employee motivation or cost cutting and cycle time reductions with the experienced staff from both institutes.

Panel Discussion and Award Ceremony
The colloquium will be completed by a panel discussion which will give you the chance to debate with the speakers about the ideas they have presented. The discussion will be chaired by Stefan Schulze-Hausmann, presenter of various science programs on German television. And as a highlight, in the evening of the first day the “Toolmaker of the Year 2010“ will be nominated as the winner of the “Excellence in Production“ competition.
